Aston Martin Unveils DB9 AMVOX2 Transponder Watch
The James Bond-style gadget will open and close your Aston Martin DB9 at the touch of a button
At first glance the DB9 Transponder watch looks like just another fancy and extortionately expensive luxury item.
However, upon closer inspection, it does not just make the skinniest and limpest of wrists more attractive or simply tell the time.
In true James Bond fashion, pressing the sapphire buttons on the left and right side of the watch will open or close your Aston Martin DB9. Hidden inside the timepiece is a micro-transmitter that can lock, unlock and locate your car.
The gadget’s ‘Find Me’ function will light the car’s headlamps for several seconds at the touch of a button. This will enable the owner to find their Aston Martin at a glance without actually unlocking the vehicle.
By integrating the transponder circuit into the body of the watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created a timepiece that is entirely functional yet discreet, a masterpiece of miniaturisation and engineering that not only functions as a chronograph but as a key, making it the ultimate accessory for the ultimate sports car.
The AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder watch is available to order now from the Aston Martin dealership network and will set you back an astonishing £12,426.
